History
The Tau Theta chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. was chartered at The University at Buffalo in Buffalo, NY on Saturday December 12, 2015, by seven young ladies; Jemila A. Hoyte-King, Ja-Naia O. Adams, Angelise V. Vargas, Alexandra R. Clark, Anabel Castillo, Savynna E. Figueroa-Moody and Ty'Naisha J. Brehon. Under the leadership of Dr. Fatima Morrell and the Eta Rho Sigma Alumnae chapter, these ladies worked hard in making Sigma a presence on their campus. Tau Theta Chapter is committed to making a difference on their campus and in the surrounding communities. Displaying "Greater Service, Greater Progress".
Mission
The mission of the Tau Theta Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. is to convey the uniqueness of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. to the University at Buffalo Community. Through effective programming, meaningful community service, a strong focus on academic achievement, collaborative efforts, and a powerful presence, the Tau Theta Chapter will be loyal to the goal of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. continuously achieving "Greater Service, Greater Progress."
